Emily R. Shull, O.D. practices at our Mt. Airy location. Dr. Shull received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Purdue University in 2001. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University in 2005 where she was elected into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric honor society. Dr. Shull joined Thoma and Sutton Eye Care in 2005. Dr. Shull is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and the Kentucky Optometric Association. The International Board of Optometric Examiners certifies Dr. Shull in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Mt Airy Location |
Dr. Diane Giffen practices at our Severance location. Dr. Giffen has been in practice for 13 years. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Akron, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in pre-professional biology. In 1997 she graduated from the Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she received her doctorate degree in optometry. While in optometry school, she became a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometry honor fraternity. She has also been a member of the American Optometric Association for 18 years.

Dr. Mark Fenton practices at our Anderson and Tri-County location. Dr. Fenton has been an optometrist for 20 years. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1990. Dr. Fenton has practiced at Thoma & Sutton Eyecare for eight years.

Dr. McKinney practices at our Loveland, Blue Ash and Kenwood locations. Dr. McKinney is a native of Western Pennsylvania. In 1997 he graduated from Lock Haven University of PA with a Bachelors degree in cellular biology. Dr. McKinney attended The Ohio State University for optometry where he graduated from in 2001. Dr. Dan Uzl, OD practices at our Solon location. Dr. Uzl was born and raised in the Old Brooklyn area of Cleveland, graduating from Saint Ignatius High School in 1991. He received a degree in Biology from the University of Toledo in 1996, and became a Doctor of Optometry at The Ohio State University in 2000.

Dr Ryan Zimmerman, OD practices at our Solon location. Dr Zimmerman completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University from 1992-1996. He was a member of the 2000 graduating class at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr. Zimmerman enjoys practicing general optometry, but he especially enjoys the challenge of specialty contact fittings, the treatment of ocular allergies, and managing computer vision syndrome. Dr. Melissa Bowman practices at our Downtown, Symmes and Cold Springs locations. Dr Bowman attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a bachelor of science in zoology. Dr. Bowman chose to attend Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for her optometric studies. She graduated in 2003 with a doctorate of optometry She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association, Infantsee, and Women of Vision. Dr. Kristan Huff practices at our Kettering Location. Dr. Huff has been in practice since 1998. Dr. Huff completed her undergraduate degree in Music at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dr. Michelle Howell graduated biology pre-med from Maryville University in St Louis, MO. She graduated optometry school in 1999 from Nova Southeastern University in Ft Lauderdale, FL. She did rotations at Bascom Palmer and Aker Kasten for ocular disease. Dr. Howell has been a member of the America Optometric Association since 1995.
